We have scholarships for that!  The Fine & Performing Arts Day is a chance for student interested in these areas to learn more about Newman, tour campus, hear from current students and recent alumni about their experiences, and potentially earn a scholarship.

    ART
Art students will be required to present a physical or digital portfolio for review by our Director of the Steckline Art Gallery, Shannon Johnston.  For additional information on how to assemble a portfolio for review,
please view this video.  Available scholarships range from $12-$16,000 per year, replacing any previously-awarded Newman Academic Scholarship, and are renewable for 8 consecutive semesters as long as the student continues to major in Art and maintains at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

    MUSIC
Music students will be required to audition with our Director of Music, Deanne Zogleman, and should prepare an a capella version of the Star-Spangled Banner.  Available scholarships range from $1-2,000 per year, can be combined with a Newman Academic Scholarship, Art/Theatre Scholarship, or ASC Community Leader Scholarship, are renewable for 8 consecutive semesters as long as the student continues to participate in Choral Music and maintains at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
