If you've applied to be considered for the full-tuition St. Newman Scholarship, this event is for you!

Allow us to honor you as an already-accomplished academic scholar during our celebratory luncheon where you can meet other students who are considering enrollment at Newman University this Fall. We'll have special sessions for Honors Program admits and parents/guests in attendance, as well as opportunities for campus tours, parent Q&A, financial aid information, and camaraderie in our hospitality areas. Applicants are encouraged to apply, RSVP for one date, and personalized schedules will be created for each student to navigate the day. Proposed schedule listed below! Times and sessions subject to change.

St. Newman Scholarship - Full tuition
Honoring our namesake, the St. John Henry Newman Scholarship is the most competitive Newman University award, offered to only FIVE high-achieving students each year!

The award replaces any previously-awarded merit scholarships and may only be stackable with Athletics. The award is automatically renewable for up to 5 years/10 semesters total as long as the student continues to enroll full time, live on campus, complete 32 service hours per semester, and maintain a 3.00+ GPA.

ELIGIBILITY
>Cumulative 3.90+ GPA
>Completed application for admission & acceptance
>Completed scholarship application (includes submission of photo & résumé)
>Interview with committee & timed essay during St. Newman Interview Day

EVENT REGISTRATION

The Office of Admissions is ONLY offering two date options for visiting campus to interview. Interview day will start with check in @ 11:30am, lunch at 12:00pm, and interviews begin at 1:00pm, lasting until approximately 5:00pm. Please plan accordingly & mark your calendar now!

Students applying to be considered for the St. Newman Scholarship are asked to make an in-person visit to campus for lunch, interviews, and the proctored essay.

Newman University - Honors Program

Students attending St. Newman Interview Day are invited to learn more about the Honors Program during an info session hosted by Dr. Kelly McFall, Honors Program Director, following the luncheon.

Dr. McFall and current Honors students will share the qualifying criteria, program requirements and curriculum, and address common misconceptions often associated with collegiate Honors opportunities.
